Title IX turned 50 this year!


Trinity University Press is publishing a timely book entitled From the Sidelines to the Headlines: The Legacy of Women’s Sports at Trinity University. The book, which documents women’s collegiate sports since Trinity’s 1869 founding, honors those who originally fought for sports equity at Trinity and those who kept it alive. The narrative includes stories told by and about the women (and men) who paved this path, especially in the 50 years since Title IX, and features more than 100 photos and images. The author is former Tiger varsity athlete Betsy Gerhardt Pasley, a 1977 Trinity journalism graduate with 40 years of experience in writing and editing. Funds are needed to offset publication costs for this extensive book, and all donors will be acknowledged in various ways for their generosity.
