Below you will find answers to many common questions about Greek- Bid Day 2023.
How are dues waivers administered?
Students interested in receiving a dues waiver must first submit an application to Greek Council. The Financial Aid office will confirm whether or not applicants are Pell Grant-eligible and sort them by level of need. The Assistant Director of Greek Life will work with Greek Council to determine how many waivers can be issued and the students will be notified if their application is approved. Greek Council will then release the funds directly to the student organizational accounts.
How are club scholarship recipients selected?
In the Spring, each club with a minimum of $2,500 in their scholarship fund will ask for applications from their active members for scholarships. The financial aid office will review the applications to determine need and if the need is equal between applicants the scholarship will go to the active with the highest GPA. Applicants are notified in the Summer if they received the scholarship and it is paid out in 2 installments, one in the Fall and one in the Spring. Scholarship recipients must be active members in the club for the entire year to receive both installments.
