Jim Potter Endowment Fund

“Coach” Jim Potter was one of the most liked and admired members of the Trinity coaching staff.  He served as director of intramurals for 33 years, from 1967 to 2000.  His teams of student workers helped turn the program into one of the finest in the nation. The Intramural program gave Tigers the opportunity to continue their love of sports, the love of competition, the love of sportsmanship, and created a deeper sense of community. Under Potter's leadership, Trinity also established the Outdoor Recreation program in 1984. Coach Potter was honored as Trinity’s Outstanding Professor in 1971, and the Alumni Association presented Potter with the “Spirit of Trinity Award” in 2007. The Department of Athletics inducted Potter into the Trinity University Athletic Hall of Fame in 2003.

Today, the Jim Potter Endowment Fund provides a tuition scholarship and sends one member of the Intramural Staff to the NIRSA Conference each year. Help us continue Coach Potter's outstanding legacy.
