McNair Scholars Fund

McNair Scholars are current Trinity students who have demonstrated strong academic potential, and are low-income, First-Generation college students and/or maybe from groups that are underrepresented in graduate education. The program prepares undergraduates for success in doctoral studies through involvement in research and other scholarly activities. Since 2007, the McNair Scholars Program has served more than 150 students at Trinity, 10 of whom have reached the ultimate Program goal of earning a Ph.D.

Beginning as sophomores, McNair Scholars benefit from an array of academic and career counseling services and individual mentoring, as well as paid summer research experience, expense-paid travel to research conferences and graduate institutions, academic strategies instruction, and assistance with graduate school applications.
